Stony Point Ambulance Corps was established by a dedicated group of volunteers in 1946. Since 1947 we have operated out of a donated building located at 6 Lee Avenue. In the late 70s we built an addition on to the original building in order to house emergency vehicles. (http://stonypointems.com/about/our-origins/)
Early in the 21st century we found that we outgrew this space. We do not have bay area to house all of our vehicles; we do not have accessible training rooms to offer CPR and First Aid classes to the community; we do not have sufficient parking for members who respond to events; and we do not have separate sleeping quarters for our overnight crews.
A few years ago we bought property at a prime location on Route 9W (74 South Route 9W) and worked tirelessly to raise the funds to begin construction on a new building – We plan to move into our new facility this summer and we are very excited! The ambulance corps has funded this entire endeavor. Our town provides us with a small stipend for operations use only. Moving into our new building will provide us with the opportunity to continue serving our community.
However now we are faced with a new issue. We need to furnish the new building. Most of the items we have in our current quarters are, quite literally, ready to be tossed (we made use of items to save expenses).
Following is a brief “Wish List”; we would like to ask for your consideration and help. We would be eternally grateful if you or your company could see a way to help us.

Office furniture (up to 5): desks, file cabinets, desk chairs, etc

Computers, monitors, keyboards, printers (need webcast capable for training)
